Its been delayed again because they are trying to work out the bugs still or something... I'm getting impatient too, not that theres anything wrong with my phone but it would be nice to have the latest software like everybody else!

I heard a rumor that we won't see gingerbread until the Bionic is released possibly....

I didn't really want to get into ROMs and such, just not my thing, but the extensive delay of Gingerbread makes it more tempting. It's a bit ridiculous.

I don't think I want the update at all because I'll lose my root access!

I'm not sure the new/updated features outweigh what I have now. (Custom ROM would fix both, I guess, but I use my phone for work, and I don't know if I could spend the time tweaking it to stability -- though I honestly have no basis for thinking they'd be any less stable than one coming directly from VZW.)

why does everyone just talks about D2G getting gingerbread update but yet nothing is announced for the regular Droid 2? Are we just all being forgotten?
