D2 battery drain after 4G?

just asking the question, I live in a area where they have 4G, but since they "lite up" my D2 my kids have have seen a HUGE decrease in battery time, IE like 4-5 hours of non usage time. I wasn't sure if this is due to 4g or if anyone else is having theses issues.

The droid 2 has no 4g radio..
