Yeah, for some reason mine wasn't on..went in to email and checked notification, then on again and it works..

I have experienced the same thing. My green light that indicates new SMS messages has not worked for about 2 weeks. The settings are set, but still no indicator light. Any Ideas?

Where is this setting at for this light? Mine has never worked and I miss it from my OG Droid.
