Short version:
Anyone else unable to get this phone from their local Verizon store?
Long version:
I took my girlfriend to a Verizon store yesterday so she could pick up a Droid 2. The particular store we went to was out of stock and the rep told us that all of the stores in the area were out as well. We didn't have time to check elsewhere so the evening ended in disappointment. I've checked several forums and have yet to find a single post of anyone else having trouble getting this phone. I'm also well aware of the fact that most Verizon reps aren't as knowledgeable as expected and sometimes are just talking out of their arse. So, I'm wondering if this is going to be another problem of inventory meeting demand or simply a case of bad luck/timing. I will be calling other stores and best buy today to check availability but I'm curious if anyone else has had this happen to them. If it's of any consequence, I live in Columbus, OH. TIA
