Hello,

I am on my second Android device.

I originally owned the Droid 1 and had it rooted. it was very seamless and there was alot of info including complete walkthroughs on how to root it. I am now on a droid 2, wich i love just as much as the original. Now that Gingerbread roms are showing up I would love to root my Droid2 but I seem to be having trouble finding 1. Complete walkthroughs, 2. which Roms are gingerbread based.

Any help would be great

search for "z4root" its a one click root, you can either click the apk on your phone or dl it to your computer and connect your phone via usb, copy it to the sd card then after you unplug go into files and run it

Yes definitely back your phone up first and foremost

I don't think there are any GB ROMs for the D2 yet
Liberty is pretty nice though
