    Default Droid 2 in Russia

I recently relocatted from the US to Russia and brought my Verison Droid 2 Global with me. I've unlocked the phone and put in a local SIM card (Beeline). I can make phone calls and receive text messages, but for some reason I cannot send text messages. I've switched out my SIM card with a friend's and it seemed to work ok. I contacted Beeline and they have checked all of the settings, they claim that everything on their side is ok and I am having a problem because I brought a US phone to Russia. Has anyone had a similar problem and been able to fix it? Any recommendations?

How are you able to even put a SIM card into a CDMA phone? My D2 doesn't have a SIM slot.

Verizon offers what they call the Droid 2 Global. It comes with a SIM card in addition to CDMA so that it can be used abroad. This is the case with several of their phones.

Oops! I didn't read the Global part. Sorry.
