Lo-tech workaround: "Contact if lost" appearing on locked screen?

Hi -

New Droid 3 owner here. I see there are some apps that are able to put:

"If found please contact Name Here at Contact Info Here"

on the welcome screen.


My phone is locked, so no-one can get past the welcome screen without the password.

Some of the app "warnings" seem pretty ominous in terms of the data on the phone the app apparently would have access to. Can any of you guys recommend one of these that is not too threatening (free would be good too!)?

Hi - I figured out a workaround, until something "official" gets released that is not toxic/intrusive/not free:

I just took a photo of my business card, and then made that the phone wallpaper - it's perfect (except for maybe the home-made aspect of it ... I had to cut it into segments and rearrange them so they all fit in the photo nicely).

But, at least functionally, it's perfect - if someone finds my locked phone and is so inclined to contact me, the contact info is available to them as soon as they turn it on.

Woo-hooo!!
