Holy heck, 18t, these pics are awesome. Where were they taken. Also, do you know much about the hdr setting? If it is set on auto, what will make it activate???

they were taken about 8 miles north of breckenridge. i am still playing with the hdr setting. it will auto activate but only in certain scenarios. i havent decided if i will continue to leave it on constantly or not.

The scenery is beautiful and the pics turned out great. So, when you use HDR, do you get more than one photo/choice of the same image?

thanks :) it real photography HDR combines normally three imaged with different exposures - a variety of under exposed and over exposed. with the camera app, it does this automatically based off a single image.

Hey everyone, figured I'd share an awesome photo from the weekend. No editing, HDR on.

Thanks, taken shortly after sunrise in the Great Bay near Tuckerton, NJ. I was headed out to the ocean on my boat to go fishing. I saw the view once I cleared the marina, and had to stop and snap a pic. Words, heck, even the pic doesn't do that scene justice.

Nice pics. I was playing with a Maxx this afternoon and noticed the very few settings on the camera, especially for different scenes (sport, macro, landscape). Does anyone miss those settings? How does the maxx do on action shots?

Some amazing shots here! Are you all using the built in cam app? Is there anything better? I used fx on my Razr for a bit and then quit it, back to built in. But I yearn for just a wee bit more...like a panoramic mode...

The phone has a panorama setting but I have not tried it.

It's hit or miss. Sometimes it focuses incorrectly (even with tap to focus on.) Sometimes it takes way too long to focus and shoot that you lose the shot. Burst mode and trying to anticipate helps, but not always.

I'm looking forward to the camera updates.
