I have issues where the phone doesn't always wake up when I say OK Google now, I have to go in and retrain the voice..
I did learn.. That you can train it with other phrases and it still works. I'm currently using. " OK Motorola" until I think of something cute lol!

Here are 10 to start...

"Query..." (KoTOR)
"Mr Gibbs..." (Pirate Voice)
"Dear N.. S.. A.. ..." (Current Events)
"Listen, you dirty rat..." (ala Mob Movie)
"Holy (insert anything) batman! ..." (Batman and Robin)
"Watson..." (Sherlock)
"Computer! ..." (Star Trek)
"Hear me...." (Zombie or Vampire Voice...)
"Can you hear me now?" (Sprint)
"Did you ever, ever wonder? ..." (Not sure what this is, just sing it loud)

Lol! That's great!! Maybe " OK elf lord" in Gibbs fashion!

The core is specifically looking for 'OK Google now', nothing else.

How? Do you just say something other than OK Google Now?

When I first set it up I tried to just train it to "Ok Google" and it wouldn't let me. I feel really stupid saying "Ok Google Now" at my phone, especially around other people.

I was able to retrain with "OK Google" and it works great! While re-training, there was a couple times it didn't accept it and it told me to do it again, but I just kept saying it and after a few tries, it accepted it and it works great now. Thanks for the great idea!

Just be sure when arguing with someone you don't say "OK Google it" ;-)

I wondered at first if it also counted syllables.. Because it won't let u do just anything.. I have mine set to ok Motorola now.. But it seems to want the OK first.. Not anything else. I can't even get it to accept okay Motorola now. But it is still set to that

To get best performance ..you have to train it to OK Google now only and do it in quite and open place ( note closed small places like closets and washrooms are not great ..even though its quite ..)

Changing to "OK Google" created a bug for me. My Maxx would randomly just open the Touchless Controls for no reason, even in a quiet room. Anyone else experience this?

Changing back to "OK Google Now" fixed things.

Yesterday when I was doing an interview in my car when me or the other person would say OK my phone would react ( I had trained OK Motorola instead of OK Google now) it was annoying.. So I changed it back to OK Google now and the problem seems to have stopped.. Also when we try to retrain it back to OK Motorola it won't let me lol

Short lived good idea I guess

Do you still have this problem? I'm experiencing the same problem...!

Hi everyone, I just got my Droid max and I'm having a problem trying to set up my OK Google now. Every time I try to record it stops immediately.

Did anyone else have this issue and how did you fix it?

Since it's listening for "Ok Google Now", training it to something else is really only tricking it, and leads to buggy results. I hope they eventually allow custom phrases, but for now training to another phrase is likely to result in less than optimal performance.

Yes it happened to me.. After trying a few times it never gave me any time to say OK GOOGLE. I waited a few mins and went and tried at a noisy location. It picked up on the noise told me to go to a quiet place to try......went into a quiet place then it worked great...idk why it didnt work the first few times.

I just had to get a replacement device since mine stopped responding to my voice at all and when on calls I faded in and out. With the new device it is not letting me train the launch phrase at it, just says Im sorry I didnt catch that and to try again.. I tried multiple rooms and locations but it doesnt even give me a chance to speak. After an hour on the phone with Verizon they called motorola and were told its a known issue and they are working on a software update.. is there any work around in the meantime? I used the touchless controls daily in the car.

thanks!
