Strange thing with Chase Bank App

I tried to deposit a check in a low light situation and every time the phone lagged horribly. Just lining it up was a chose and then after hitting the snap photo button it took at least 10 seconds.

I then turned on a table lamp and the lag went away. Turned the lamp off and it lagged. Rinse and repeat. It must be a conflict with the app but still a strange observation.

Something using a lot of ram in the background, perhaps. The camera works harder in low light and may require more ram to run.

That's my guess. I've just never seen this before on any other phone including a RAZR, RAZR HD, Note II, etc.

Did you have HDR turned on? I could see that adding to the lag issue.

Chase opens up the camera and it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the regular camera.

Could be the app. I have made several check deposits with Ally and have had no issues like that.

Could be. Or maybe a force close would help but no id me a right now. It doesn't really bother me but I've never seen anything like that before.

The Chase app isn't the greatest. It's a lot better than a lot of the competition, but nothing I herald as a great app.
