Just got my maxx today. Came from and iPhone 5s and I've had about every phone under the sun from iphone 5s, galaxy series, HTC one x,nexus 4 and many more. My only complaint with most phones is I can't wake up unplug it and make it through about a 14 hour day without searching for a charger. Finally got the phone to solve my problems I hope! Well here's to 48 hours of battery life
Any suggestions for maximizing the performance if this phone? Besides the usually turning BT GPS and all that on/off when needed? Or any must have apps? Been out of the android game since last august when I got the iPhone 5s

48 hrs is possible, but there's a $h!t-load of power management involved. There are apps on the market that will help you keep track of and control what is running. Keyword is help, you don't have ultimate control. You already have a good idea of where to start. Google is a great start for as a source of information, the message boards for confirmation and brainstorming.

    fat-fingered and Maxx-ed out.

O I was just saying 48 hours cause thats what it says on Verizon's website. I'm not in anyway expecting that kind of battery life. I just want to be able to use the phone how I use it and get through let's say a 16hr day. I could do it with my iPhone and a 1500mah mophie juice pack so I'm hoping this phone is going to do the trick

I usually take my phone off the charger in the morning and can make it through to the evening/night the next day. I am on WiFi most of the time, the only things I don't have on is BT and NFC (WiFi, mobile data, GPS on). I keep the screen around 50% brightness & set to shut off after a minute. I have power saving on, and have Assist's sleep setting set from midnight to 7am. A lot of this depends on how much I websurf. I find that when I post a lot it takes a toll on battery (having both the screen on and registering touches when I type) but that should be the same with most any phone. I also turn off haptic feedback (vibration when tapping the screen buttons) but I have it set to vibrate and ring for calls.

So far all I've had were android smart phones, HTC phones for the first four, a Galaxy S3, and now the Maxx. This is the first phone since my first smart phone (the original HTC Droid Incredible) were I was completely satisfied. The later HTCs and Samsungs just don't have the reception the Motorola phones do, and they seem to have more issues getting a quick and accurate GPS lock than the Motos.

I leave everything on, don't worry about charging during the day and charge nightly while I sleep.

Life depends on what you do. I usually get 3+ days from mine, but I'm usually on wifi, and I don't stream vids or music on my phone.

The Maxx is great because you can use the phone without managing the battery. Screen on 100%, wifi on all day, no battery saver and at the end of your 16 hour day just throw it on your Tylt wireless charger. That's why they named it "Maxx'.

Can't wait to test the battery life today. Will be on LTE most of the day at work. So hopefully this thing will last my usual day from about 11am to 3am that would be awewome. Either way this is as good as it gets battery life wise in a phone.

I get 35-48 hours with no power management pretty much every time that includes keeping Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi on. The only thing I use that I would consider power management is the auto brightness setting for the display.
