mic won't work in calls, works for voice commands

My phone suddenly won't work in calls. Doesn't matter if I am calling them or someone calling me, no one can hear me, speaker doesn't work either. I'm told i sound really distant by one person and the other can't hear me at all. How do I fix this at home like right now? also the phone seems to respond well to voice commands still.

Microphone stopped working on my MAXX last February , called Verizon, had to get a replacement.
