Why does my phone talk in its sleep?

Phone talks in its sleep

My Droid Maxx plays adds and makes noise when sleeping. This started recently and usually occurs between 2 AM and 5 AM. How do I get rid of this bug.

Weather Bug. I have disabled it and still have an issue. I have had this app on other phones and never had a problem.

Have you tried a reboot?

It sounds weird, but I wonder if it's a tab loaded in the Chrome app?

Go into Chrome and swipe away all of the tabs. Maybe also go into the settings for the app and hit privacy and then tap the button "clear browser data".

Yup. I've that several times. Cleared all browsing history and cookies and cache.

It must be an app then. Until you figure it out, put the phone in silent (using the Motorola Assist app that comes with the phone maybe?) when you go to sleep so it doesn't wake you.

Mine did this once the other night.. Something about Walmart, then an annoying alarm that I've never heard..... Woke us up from sleep and I scrambled to silence it.. Nice....

BTW, it played through the 'silent' mode...

Sounds like adware to me. I'd start by uninstalling any apps that aren't made by a major/reputable company, and clearing the browser cache.

Use Assist to quiet the phone at night until you figure out the real cause of the problem
