My contacts have disappeared, how could this have happened?

my contacts have disappeared

I have a Motorola Maxx X which I got about a month ago. Everything was fine and suddenly my contacts are disappearing. I manually add them back and they are gone again sometimes in 1 day sometimes 2 just never know. Why could this be happening. I have checked to display all contacts I did check that.

Where are you saving these contacts? Your best option is to use your Google account for your contacts. That way, your contacts will be saved no matter what device you use or if you need to reset your device to factory settings.
