Re: OTA Update - but wait!
Yeah, waiting on mine. My Pro isn't activated right now, but should still receive the update via wifi.

Re: OTA Update - but wait!
No update here either... Gingerbread will be old news (older than it already is) by the time we see it...

Re: OTA Update - but wait!
Yes, you have to be unrooted. And, if you are running the "unofficial" Gingerbread on your phone...the one that many folks flashed (update.zip) back in June, you're going to have to sbf back to Froyo 2.26 before this OTA update will download and install. My understanding from Moto is that this update will only download and install if your phone is running Froyo 2.26 with all updates, last one was 3.8.7, installed.

Re: OTA Update - but wait!
Gingerbread came this morning at 5:40 am!!
It makes my DPro run much smoother and everything seems to be working just fine. - 10-14-2011, 10:23 AM #12

Re: OTA Update - but wait!
I have some changes on my Pro since the update...I did notice that my battery life is worse than before however.

Re: OTA Update - but wait!
Hi, I just got the zip file. I have installed 2.3.3 v4.6.4 and I'm rooted. Can I just overwrite it or do I need to unroot first? What will happen with frozen apps?
Thanks! - 10-17-2011, 02:46 PM #17
Re: OTA Update - but wait!
I did not have to unroot prior to the update, I had been putting it off, I wanted to see if I was going to have to re-root.
I was correct. It updated with out any info but now I have to re-root. Z4 Root did not work, I will have to check if Super one click works. - 10-18-2011, 10:47 AM #18

Re: OTA Update - but wait!
Good afternoon AF,
I just received the OTA update to 2.3.3 a few days ago. The update has created the most sluggish phone I have ever had in my life. The delay after I touch on Icons or the delay to find a said name or email address when attempting to send emails or texts is terrible
. Does the Pro have a address book capacity or is there anything that I can do to speed my phone up and cure the delay? Please help...!!!!! I love the new update, but I would like to enjoy it.....

Re: OTA Update - but wait!
Hi all, got my update 2 days ago and all I have been doing is charging my phone 2x @ day. I never had to do this before the update. I have also noticed my icons are sluggish and when I go to the recent calls, I cannot tap a recent call and have it dial. Very frustrating for this expensive phone.
