hi all
I'm having problems with the backlight on the keyboard on my droid pro... it doesnt stay lit when texting, comes on at off at random... anyone know anything about this...
i called verizion tech support, they couldn't figure it out.... just sent the brand new phone back for a refurbished one... told me to call motorola... got someone from India... said to send the phone back... if they cant figure it out thats their common response.

anyone have any experience with this and the fix.

My Pro has done this since the GB update. What I have found to work is push the power button to put the screen to sleep , then wake it up. That usually takes care of it for awhile. It's a total PITA though and it never happened prior to GB. I've seen threads about clearing something in the keyboard prefs but that didn't work for me. I'll see if I can find it.

Found this at Verizon's site. I myself performed a hard reset after the update but did not re-flash at a Verizon store. And obviously the hard reset didn't fix it. I don't want to bother with all that crap right now. It's a common issue and *may* be addressed by an OTA update in the future, no way to know right now. Anyway, here's a link.
