Default Can't root Droid - Aborts update folder

I'm having an issue trying to root my Droid. I'm currently on 2.1 and I would like to root. Do I have to go back to 2.0.1 and get a rooted 2.0.1 update and then upgrade it to the rooted 2.1?

I've tried to update.zip technique for the 2.1 rooted version but it aborts the installation each time. Is that because I have 2.1 already or could it be because the battery is at full power? Since they say that the battery has to be at a certain level in oder to due system updates.

You can't root 2.1 that way. You either have to sbf back to 2.01 or there is a sbf now for rooted 2.1.

Check this site for downloads and instructions:

    Kids these days haha. Jk

It really is pretty quick and easy. Just follow the instructions exactly the way they are written or you could end with a really expensive paper weight.
