RSD Lite Vista problem

OK, I've been working on this for a few hours now.

I've run RSD Lite in XP compatibility, as Administrator, with the SPR file in the root directory of C:\, in a directory I made up on C:\ and in the download directory.

I know it's connected in USB transfer mode. It shows the following in device properties

IMEI/ESN/MEID: N / A
Technology: N / A
Software Version: N / A
Flex Version: N / A
Bootloader Version: v0x002C6C
DRM Version: N / A
AP Die ID: 1db000061f680304000000000400
BP Die ID: 0000000000000000000000000000
AP Public ID: ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
BP Public ID: 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000

And the following in file properties:

Filename: SPRecovery_ESE81.sbf
Creation Date: 06/07/2010 21:44:19
File size: 6345657
RAM DL Version: N / A
Bootloader Version: N / A
Platform: CDMA OMAP
HAB Type: Signed Production

And it shows this on the port list window:

SE Flash OMAP3430 MI USB N/A connected...

The moment I hit start, it says this:

Failed flashing process Failed flashing process (0x7100); phone connected.

The info on the device properties all switch to N/A:

EMEI/ESN: N / A
Technology: N / A
Software Version: N / A
Flex Version: N / A
Boot Version: N / A
DRM Version: N / A

The file properties remain unchanged.

I have no fricking idea what to do, but I'm dead stopped at this point.

Suggestions?
