Will The Droid be Rooted by Christmas???
Do you think it Will??? And what will you be looking for in a Custom ROM???

Don't really care one way or the other. I personally would prefer more developers to get onboard and an improved Android Market for Christmas.

I voted No. The Android developer phones are all HTC phones, and the main hub of the Android rooting "community" is a site geared specifically to HTC phones. This pretty much means that it's going to take a kernel exploit vs. a flaw/feature in the hardware to get root, as not nearly as many people are looking.

I voted that I dont care. I think that the reason to root the phone would be to add a custom ROM that enables something that Verizon (or whoever) has gimped. IMHO, this phone has everything...
