instructions?

im looking for instructions on rooting my droid. im on 2.2 i didnt see a thread for it that was sticky or in the first few pages. help please?

I used Easyroot. One click rooting/unrooting. Once I got root I used ROM Manager to install everything else I wanted.

i changed computers and that seemed to do the trick. only problem is that i loaded the wrong file on to the phone first so i now have a solid 4 ounce brick. i can turn on and off, access the recovery menu and the bootloader still. problem is that i have no cell service, wifi, and the OS wants to crash every 3 seconds. Now i need help

okay, i do have a partial brick. it will randomly reboot every 3 minutes or so(i exagerrated a bit with the second count) and it says i have no service at all, even though ive gotten a text message out. i need help. unrooting or just doing something here with this
