Default Can anyone offer true step-by-step instructions on how to overclock?

I tried reading through and following the instructions on various forums but am still having problems with rooting my droid and overclocking. I'm not sure exactly what the problem is. The step-by-step instructions provided on these sites aren't exactly step by step.

For example - one forum says to append one zip file to another then proceeds to tell us the command to use but at the same time never says to open the command prompt and navigate to the folder in which the files are located in. I had to find another site that explained these steps in more detail.

It seems a lot of the information is fragmented and I can't find one solid source where people like me who haven't yet rooted the phone but now want to overclock it can read simple detailed directions in one place.

If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it! I am not a newbie to hacking phones as I've jailbroken an iphone before and used to install hybrid OSs on my Storm.

If anyone wouldn't mind walking me through the process over AIM or gChat, that would be extremely awesome!

This is the easiest way to root the droid. What you need to make sure you do is get the new recovery image flashed. From there overclocking is a breeze since most of the kernels are in nandroid backup forms, check out alldroid.org for more info. pm me if you still need help

Doing it with a Nandoid backup isn't the only answer. I wanted to overclock my 2.1 Nexus One dump, so nandroid wouldnt work for that. The instructions are fairly straight forward.
-HTC Incredible 2 rooted, running RMK's GingerSense
    -MacBook Pro 13" Mid-2010
