I must be the simplest useless mind in the world, but every single time Ive tried to root I come up on the short end of the stick! Ive been to that other site which has all the detailed info and toold on how to root but so many of the links are broken. And I have searched here to no avail as well. Anyone want to let a dummy a hand?

I'm going to assume Moto Droid and Windows x86. And I'm also going to do something that pains me

If you are sure you have a good reason to root your phone, and are aware of all the good and bad that goes with it, spend the few bucks and get the auto-rooting tool from the market. Someone will be along shortly with a link (I hope).

use this link from ur phone. it will take u to a app that will root ur phone for u. or if u want to help them out the paid version is on the market.
