since rooting and putting on CM7 I am randomly not getting texts

I recently rooted my phone and loaded the newly stable CM7 onto my Moto Droid 1.
Everything has been running fine, or so I thought.

My friends are now wondering why I'm not replying to their texts...well...that's because I'm not receiving them. Its very intermittent...we could trade 5 or 10 texts, and then I might not receive the 11th. Someone else could text me twice and I won't get them, but then I'll get the third.

I'm not using any extra messaging program..just the one that comes with the phone.

any ideas? I'm considering just going back to stock...or just trying a different rom altogether...not sure what to do.

Reportedly, the SMS bug has been fixed in the latest build of CM7. If you're not on 7.0.3, try downloading that and seeing if the problem has not disappeared.

I do believe the issue with the sms's is a common thing due to GB.
I've encountered this problem with a couple of GB roms.

Had it happen with 7.0.1 and 7.0.2..
Now with 7.0.3 I'm having a problem where my data disconnects after a phone call. I either have to reboot, or switch in and out of airplane mode to get it back.

That is another known issue. I think I'm done with GB for a while, I'm just going to go back to CM6/Froyo ...

The SMS and data issues are the reason I gave up on CM7. I switched to GPA1.4, and honestly it does still happen from time to time. It isn't nearly the problem for me that it was on CM7, but it does in fact still happen every so often. I think it's definitely a GB thing. I would be very happy if it has indeed been fixed in the new build. I'm still using GPA1.4 though. It doesn't seem to happen often enough to bother me too much, but CM7 was almost useless for me.

GB is buggy on the Droid. Sucks but our phones weren't meant to run it

After using it for a month or so, I just reverted back to Froyo.

I've had the same problems, both on CM7.0.3 and on Liquid Gingerbread 2.1 and I've tried going back to FRG83G and CM6, but then I couldn't download ANYTHING from the market. Any ideas?

I am on the latest nightlie of CM7 and don't have any problems at all, it is running flawlessly. If you don't want to buy the premium ROM Manager download and install CM 7.1 RC1 it is the latest stable build you get in the free section.
