I followed the simple instructions, got RSD Lite, installed sprecovery in like 2 minutes, and am now running JRummy v.6 at 800mhz. I completely forgot how awesome having a rooted phone is since i've been running the official 2.1OS since it came out. It's good to have a fast phone again with tons of toys.

Yeah. I noticed some unwanted lag in 2.1 which made me miss my overclocked and rooted droid. so today, i did some research, used the new sbf to flash sprecovery, and threw JRummy Remix v.6 on my phone. Very impressed with the speed and sleekness of this ROM. it's the first ESE81 based cooked ROM i have used, and i am definitely liking what i see. The way i look at it, with an ESE81 based rom, i get all the smoothness and stability of the official 2.1, with the speed and goodies of having it rooted and overclocked. especially things like wifi tether, terminal emulator, etc....i just missed having root.

yeah, i wasn't 100% set on anything. I'm actually glad i've used the official 2.1 so i have real experience with it, and can justify my decision to stay rooted. also, i have a lot of friends/family asking for my opinions on droid software and roms, so it's good i can give educated advice now.
