Camera settings

Are you guys typically using the 21mp or 16mp camera setting? Or switching back and forth between each? They both seem to take good photos and I'm not seeing the point in using one or the other. What am I missing here?

I stick with 21, you take a lot of burst pictures it will eat up your storage

I've been using the 16 mega pixel wide screen setting. I can't imagine that there is a huge difference between 16 and 21, but I don't know. 16 works very well for me.

Yeah I think I prefer the 16mp setting. So 21mp takes up more space? Sorry if that's a dumb question but I'm not very tech savvy.

Yes that is correct. 21mp create larger files. Not by much but it does happen.

It really depends if you like 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio for your photos. Both use the full width of the sensor, and should be the same quality.

The sensor is 4:3, so when you use the widescreen setting, you are just lopping off some sensor info from the top & bottom of the frame.
