Will wireless charging obliterate the magnetic strips on my credit card/ID?

I'm interested in at least trying wireless charging (to try to save my charging port some wear). However, I carry my main credit card and driver's license in a stick-on rubber sleeve on the back of my phone for convenience. I know that wireless charging utilizes magnetic induction, so would that wreak havoc on the magnetic strips on the credit card and license? Thanks!

It should be too high a frequency to affect a magnetic strip, but no guarantees. You'll have to try it with a spare card or a magnetic recording.

The added thickness of the sleeve, especially if you have a case on your phone, may interfere with charging. Get a good charging devise, do not go the cheapo route.

I wouldnt chance it. I would take the cards out to charge the phone.

As far as the case, i know that an otterbox defender and speck candyshell grip case doesnt not interfere with the charger. I have only used the samsung fast wireless charger though.

Sent with my white Note5 with nonremovable back and no SDcard!
