switching between WiFi and 4g

If my WiFi is on and its not a strong signal it doesn't switch to 4g data automatically . on my galaxy s3 there was a setting to change automatically I don't see it on my droid turbo.I'm trying not to keep WiFi off so as to not use all my data
Any one have the solution?

There is a check box in the 'Advanced Wi-fi' settings to 'avoid poor connections'.

That would be: settings>wi-fi>three lower right dots>advanced

Unclear if that would help. It doesn't generate a notification that I can see.

This should help -- Same function as the one on the Galaxy.

It could just be how the Turbo judges the signal strength versus the Galaxy did. Each phone measures "strength" differently.

If you want Wifi always on then you need to UNCHECK that box and also select the other option for always on.
