I'm travelling over seas soon and have read that the Turbo is unlocked and should be a breeze to put in a sim card when I get there and be up and running.
In practice the last time I tried this with BB it all went pear shaped.
Anyone done a international trip and used a sim card from that country?
Any issues?

1. Try any SIM card other than Verizon (which I assume is your carrier). If it asks for the unlock code, it's not unlocked. Verizon has a page on which you can request the unlock code - but it can take a week before you get it.

2. The Turbo covers:

3G bands
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
CDMA2000 1xEV-DO

4G bands
LTE band 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 7(2600), 13(700)

Check with the carrier you plan on using overseas to make sure that those frequencies are compatible with theirs, or you'll have problems with data. You can find them from the links at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellular_frequencies#Other_Regions
