Factory Resetting...

My Turbo has been slowing down significantly in the last couple of days, and I figured it was time for an FDR. I've got all my pictures, contacts, etc. backed up, and I'm about ready to do it, but I wanted to know if there was a difference between resetting from the settings menu and from the Recovery menu. Last time I did it, I did it from Recovery, but I heard that one of the two methods was messed up after the 5.1 update and I was wondering which one it was

This is news to me, but I guess the one in factory should probably be the safest.

I did a fdr right after installing lollipop, i rest it from the settings menu. I cant really see where there would be a difference but someone else might know.

Good luck, im guessing you tried a clear cache partition from the recovery first? That should solve most lag issues

I did it this weekend. I tried from the settings menu, and the phone shut off and didn't do anything. I restarted and it hadn't been done. I went into recovery mode and did it from there with no problem.
