just got droid turbo and already used up3 GB, what the --- is going on?

It starts loading apps after app !

If you log into your Google account I believe it will install most of the apps you had on your last phone. I always try to set up a new phone on WiFi since downloading all my apps does go through a lot of data.

Yeah, it's just reinstalling all of your apps. Too late now, but with your next new phone, don't sign into your Google account on your new phone until you get home on your own WiFi network.

I always uncheck Backup and Restore so my phone is fresh. U can do that and do a factory reset since you just got it and then they apps won't auto download.

When signing in for the first time, unchecked sync apps on your Google account. I had that problem on my N6. I unchecked it when setting up my Turbo.
