Battery training?

My Turbo comes off the charger and immediately drops 10%. It also shuts down hard at 13% remaining.
I have fully cycled it down to a hard power off to 100% charged multiple times with any interruption.

Is there any way to train the meter to be correct? I do not have root.

Is this the original Turbo? Are you the original owner, or is it a used phone?

If it's the original Turbo, it's a rather old device. If it has the original battery, then the battery could be on its way out

It is the original turbo and the battery definitely has degraded. I thought that there would be a way to retain the battery meter, though.

As Laura said, the battery is probably on its way out. From what I understand the battery level is measured by the voltage. I'm not a battery engineer, but probably it does not hold peak voltage anymore, hence the immediate drop in reported battery level.
