Droid X Mic Problem

I have had my phone for almost a year, and last night the mic stopped working. I have searched several other posts, but have not found one exactly like my problem. If I am speaking in a normal voice, no one can hear me. If I physically put my mouth on the phone next to the mic and talk louder, you can. On a theory, I covered the other two mics (one by power button and one on the back), and the mic started working. So, it seems like some sort of noise cancellation software running in the background is screwing this up. It definitely is not a hardware problem. I have tried resets, and nothing seems to work. Any toughts?

I had this issue and Verizon just replaced the phone. It's definitely a hardware issue. Not much you can do. When it happened to me, others could only hear me if I turned on the speakerphone.

I had the same experience as Carlos, Verizon replaced it.
