Is there a way to root my dx without plugging it into my mac?
^^ I'm sure this is a stupid question, so I apologize in advance. I got my loaner DX today in the mail, but they didn't put a micro usb cable in it just the phone. I think there was an app awhile back that you could use to root, but I forgot the name of it and don't know if it's still available. Again, just to be clear, I have the DX only and a macbook pro. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Z4root works for froyo Gingerbreak works for gingerbread, but if you are on 602 or 605 gingerbreak will not work and need a comp to one-click root.
