Can you Hot Swap SD Card

Can you Hot swap the SD card without taking the battery out I just watched the tear down and he took the SD Card out after he pulled the battery.. I was wondering if that was just how he did it or if you had to remove the battery to get the SD card out?

Unfortunately you cannot hot swap the SD Card. The edge of the battery blocks the SD card from being removable.

I was a little disappointed with this as well, coming from a BB where I could pull my SD Card at anytime. Obviously this is not a make or break issue though.

Just make sure you dismount it or you will corrupt it.

Yeah I liked that on my BB too about the only thing I like about my BB..

I'm still going to get this phone just need to see what the list price is because I'm not going with contracts anymore as fast as these phones are coming out

No, and any device that upgrades to Froyo will lose that ability.

Thank all the people who demanded Google add apps2sd instead of setting developer policy to put small binaries on the system and all extra data on the SD card.

Not wonderful news, but not horrible either. I imagine reboot times are far less painful than a BlackBerry.

Ya know, you could just plug it in to power while you take out the battery and not have to worry about a reboot. Just sayin...
