Coming from a Blackberry and spending a lifetime of typing, have made me a decent typist.

After getting the X and hearing and reading about how great Swype is, I decided to give it a go. I have read how fast it is compared to typing on a regular-ish keyboard.

My problem is when I try to "swype" fast, I get a list of 4 words (about 75%of the time) that Swype is suggesting that I am trying to spell. This is distracting and slows me way down.

Does Swype get "smarter" as I use it?

I am beginning to think that if one is a good and accurate typist, Swype isnt much of an improvement and might actually be slower than using the multi-touch keyboard.

Thats a good question and I would like to know as well because there is a lot of words that i use that are not in the dictionary, ie. wanna, gunna, commin, etc.
