    Default status bar notifications

Hello all. I am new to Android with Droid X.

I have a question about the status bar. Is there a way to access what they show in the status bar, to see exactly what it means?

For example. I have the following items on top in the status bar right now:

Black Circle with + sign in it with 17 inside circle.
Alert symbol (orange triangle with ! inside)

    What do these mean?

    Thanks

If you touch the bar and drag it down it will open up. The orange ! means something isnt Jiving well right now. The other Im guessing is 17 emails, or other notifications.

Thank you. It appears the My Verizon was unsuccessful install (orange triangle).

The others I think are apps I have loaded. Is it ok to clear the list? Or will it delete the apps I loaded?

    Thanks

Clearing the list won't have any affect other than to clear that notification screen.

Thanks. One last question. How do you delete an APP? I assume by dragging to trash.

    How do you empty trash?

    Thanks

OR...go into the Market Place, press the Menu button and select "Downloads". You will see a list of all your apps you downloaded and installed. If you tap on the app you want to remove in that list, you'll see an "Uninstall" button.
