Re: Saving text msgs
You're long pressing on the text to lock it and long pressing on the thread to delete it correct?

I do not get an option to lock it that is the question.. But yes I long press and then the option box pops up with ( open, forward, copy, delete etc) no lock option. If you long press on it with no msg open then it ask you to delete entire thread ... where is lock option to save something out of the bubbles that someone sends you ... Dont want to save whole thread just part of it??? Thanks for helping

Re: Saving text msgs
Handcent is in the market and its a messaging client that replaces the stock droid messaging. Its a lot more customizable and I know a lot of people like it better, it also let's you have the options you are looking for, but sadly I don't think and I haven't found a way to lock messages on the stock DroidX

The ability to lock a message, on the Incredible, was a function of the HTC messaging application. The stock Android app does not have the ability to do this.
As suggested above, use Handcent instead. It does the same thing the HTC app did. - 07-20-2010, 02:31 AM
