Still no DroidX :(

So here it is 9 AM on the 20th and still no shipping notification on my X.. I ordered mine at noon on the 15th, yet it didn't get "processed" until after 8 PM..

I called Verizon and they are still saying that it will ship on the 23rd - which is unfortunate as I leave for vacation on the 23rd.

Anyone else still not know when their Droid, ordered on the 15th, will be arriving?

Yes it does.. I'm stuck on this BB tour for another week, it looks like, unless Verizon surprises me and gets it to me by Thursday.

I'm not holding my breath..

You're not alone! I ordered mine right around noon on thursday (the 15th) and all I have is the sales order #. If you call up a vzw rep they have no clue what that number is for! I ended up finally getting the actual order # but still have no clue when my phone is coming!

I am in the same boat. Ordered on the 15th at 9:00 AM and still no phone and no tracking information and they are now telling me that it won't ship till the 27th at the earliest.

This is almost as crazy as the problems I have had with my original storm BB. I cant wait to take this Storm to the Shooting range and put a 9mm bullet straight through it!

I was one of the lucky ones and got mine right away. I was on vacation when it came, that sucked phone was sitting at home and I couldn't play with it.

I thought I would tell you this to maybe save you more grief. Make sure you have someone there to sign for package. After 3 days of attempting delivery, fed ex sends the package back. That would suck. You would have to order the phone again starting the process from scratch again. I had someone come to my house and wait for fed ex.

I am going to do the same with my Pre once I get an EVO or an Epic. I am going to make sure I use one of my nice Winchester Hollow Points to make sure it doesn't survive.

I've said before...I feel Verizon was simply overwhelmed with the response to this phone on launch day. I don't think they were prepared for so many to jump from BB or the iphone.

VZW can only do so much. Parts shortages in Asia have been affecting all OEM's.

I ordered mine on 7/16 with delivery by 7/27 and today I received the shipping info that says it will be delivered tomorrow.

Ordered mine from wal-mart online Friday for $149.00 and tracking shows I will receive tomorrow. Hopefully no issues.

I feel your pain...maybe you could get a neighbor to sign for you..put a note on the door to take the package to your neighbor's??? Just a thought....

just leave a note on your door and say where to leave it, then sign and date it, and they will leave it at your door. thats what i do with all my packages just in case i dont hear them at the door, also i put the tracking number, but im not sure it you really have to.

and sorry to rub it in, but i didnt order my phone online till friday afternoon, and got a shipping confirmation a couple hours later, and got it monday, it was stuck at a sorting facility a few minutes away where i couldnt pick it up on saturday. But trust me, you will be amazed at how easy it is to text on it when you get it. its a joy using swype cause it is fast, and something new

I usually espouse the use of online purchasing over waiting in line, but for me, I needed to start a new account, transfer my phone number and apply a corporate discount. My confidence level on getting that completed successfully online was zero.

I'm glad I reserved a phone at my local verizon store. I feel for those who are still waiting, been there with other phones

It's my first smartphone, I have never been so excited about a phone before. I feel like a puppy looking out the window waiting for his master to come home.

Got my tracking last night but wont get it till the 22nd. I chose to save 10% rather than have overnight shipping with the promo code so I guess I'll have to wait one more day. I hope it comes to the Fedex facility tonight and they let me pick it up as I'm only a few minutes from them and I'm working late tonight.

I wouldn't worry about not having shipping confirmation yet. Mine was emailed at about 3:00 AM this morning for delivery TODAY. Verizon told me repeatedly that it would be shipped "by the 23rd", and here it is 7/21 and I will have it by this afternoon.

If you purchased it in store... shouldn't they just give you the phone right there? Confused on why you need tracking for a phone that goes from the store to your hand

Sigh. VZW cancelled my order at 1am on 7/15 since I ordered internationally while I was traveling for work. Fraud protection they said. Had my wife re-order it on 7/15 at 3PM and still no shipping confirmation. Man, I need this phone by 7/23/10 as I leave for a month long buisness trip. No first come first serve?
