Droid X facebook question

is there any way to disable to built in facebook thing on the droid x and just download the facebook application and use that? I dont like the built in one from what i can tell (i dont have the phone yet) and would just like to use the application.

Just remove your facebook account from the phone. Then download the Facebook App and sign into it instead.

From the home screen: menu > settings > accounts > facebook > remove account

by native app, do you mean the facebook baked into the UI, or the offical facebook for android? if it is the latter, you wont have the option to contact sync; that feature is only available for the UI one on this phone.
