They are under a DDOS attack. This is the download link for the leaked Froyo file. update.zip I'm not exactly sure how to load it

Ya I'm not sure what that means either. I'm sure someone will have detailed instructions out once they stop the attack. A youtube video would be nice.

flash is working PERFECT
just tried my wifes site hopeparr.com and music and all is now working...I am stoked.. (so is she)

How the heck do you install this??

copy it to your phone (I use windows explorer to copy it)
then

To get into recovery: (taken from my droid world forum)
Power off device
press and hold the home key
press the power button (when device powers on release power button but continue to hold the home key)
when the triangle appears release the home button
press the search key (far right)
Using the volume key move cursor down to "apply update.zip from sdcard" press OK (menu key, button on far left)

How the heck do you install this??

No.. works like any other update.zip

however, if you wish to KEEP root and have root after the update, you'll want to follow some extra steps.

I asked a few questions on that thread but haven't received an answer since its down right now. What happens if the official release is different? How hard is it to go back to 2.1 if I ever need to take my phone to verizon?

I used to use Blackberry leaks all the time but it was easy to just wipe and install the official if needed. I am new to android and the X is my first so I am not sure how all this works and I am a little hesitant till I feel comfortable. I may just end up waiting for the official update.

Is this leak the one that will end up being released officially? Does it contain the bug fixes that Moto said would be coming and supposedly was to be rolled into the froyo update?
