Can I trust assurion to give me a functioning phone?
Hey guys, if you were following my old thread before about how i cracked my screen i got an update. I told my mom about it today and it turns out when she bought the phone she signed me up for the insurance, which i was unaware of at the time of writing the thread. But after some responses, im wondering if filing a claim is even worth it. I do not want to pay 90 dollars for a messed up phone! Anyone here had experience with assurion and an android device replacement? My friends say all their replacements are terrible and break all the time, but they have like env touch's and the like, not android. Thanks.

I just received my replacement DX on Thursday. It was a brand new, not refurb one at that. Runs as good as my first one. Maybe a lil better bc I have froyo too.....lol....$90 is better then almost $600.

I have had a phone replaced with them but not with the droid with a windows phone(twice) and a blackberry phone(once). Still suppose to be like new and usually if they have to send out another one IF the first one they send didn't perform right they will send a new one the second time.

Dude $90 for a phone that you can get warranty replacements on even if its not working, is better then paying $200 for a paperweight (I think its a bit too light for that. Besides you have a 2 year contract now, are you just going to use your old phone for 2 years before replacing it?

File the claim dude, its worth the $90 vs $600 for an retail priced phone. You could always get on asuiron's case if the phone Isnt up to par.

I believe if you will re-read the OP you will see that he states when his mother purchased the phone she purchase the insurance at that time. Not after he told her he broke it.... Just clarifying.

If you are comfortable with insurance fraud that's your thing. I agree with boooooooo.

The crackberry threads allowed a lot more lattitude. Probably too much. It was quite entertainimg feeding trolls.
