    Default Factory data reset question....

If I do a factory data reset, will I lose my angry bird progress? I know it sounds rediculous but it's all that's keeping me from doing the reset lol!

You may. I flashed a new rom and lost mine. A factory reset will clear stuff so I would think so.

You could try remove your local files for Angry Birds. Factory Reset. Then put the folder back in the same place it was before launching angry birds.

You need to do a rest and you're holding off because of a game score? Really?

Not really game score lol, game progress. I play Angry Birds and its a PITA if you have to start all over again.

Definitely a PITA!! Im only wanting to do the restore to fix the slide lock issue...its not like its crucial so I hate to lose the game progress just for the slide lock but I really want it to work right too

What's wrong with your slides. I want some new ones but don't want a full theme just the slides.

If you are rooted, which I'm guessing you aren't, Titanium Backup can backup all your apps and the user data in them.

It does the whole "all or nothing" thing. If I turn of the pattern lock I lose all locking aside from the button on top of the phone. I have read this was because I had the pattern lock on (or maybe off, can't remember) when I did the ota.

Sorry for the confusion, that's what I meant in my post, that you need to be rooted.

What's the main purpose or benefit/s from doing a factory reset?

Takes everything to out of the box factory condition software wise, useful for when you are having problems, especially app/software incompatibility.

what happens to the cell phone service on a factory reset? Does it remain activated or do you need to go back to Verizon to activate service again?
