is there a way to have a separate notification calendar

I don't want my phone making noise for emails or texts but I need them for the calendar . Is this not something that can be done on droid x?

each alert can be set up separately in the respective application.

yeah it is confusing at times.

There are apps that let you change the notification sound for all items within one app, but once you get it set up you should be good
