Hey, so I'm having a bit of trouble setting up my school email account on my phone and am looking for help. Its @csustan.edu but it routed through gmail. Not sure if that makes sense to you reading this but hopefully someone could give me some tips to get it to work.
As a starting point, I would really rather not forward to my main account. I really would like to keep them separate.

No I havent, to start, Im not sure what IMAP or POP is. I think that might be key in understanding how to set it up, then the app to facilitate my needs.

if you access your school e-mail through gmail then just add another gmail account to your phone. Tap gmail Icon; click menu button; click accounts; click add account. ??? If you access through gmail, maybe that will help.

If you have trouble with that here are a few threads that might help you out. Seems like logging in through YouTube works....

Well, I thought the same thing. "if its through Gmail, it should work" but it doesn't. I'm guessing its due to it being a school email through their servers to Google. So technically I don't think it is a Gmail account. Make sense?

I am guessing that the school will use a higher level of security to restrict access, I am guessing it running through a Corporate Push server unless they are using a HTML protocol.

When you say that they are going through Google, since you are saying that it is a @csustan.edu access extension I would say that you may can set you Google account up to receive forwarded messages from this account..

Have you tried
1. Going into Google account on the web
2. Press Settings next to Account name at top right
3. Accounts and Import
4. Check mail using POP3:

(Here link to make it things easy, log into Google email and click link https://mail.google.com/mail/?hl=en&shva=1#settings/accounts ) and then enter the email address information..

Thats really cool. Still though, I would really rather not forward because Id rather keep mt personal email separate from school one. Worst comes to worst, Ill make another Gmail account to forward to.

Then maybe use corporate sync. Domain would be the school's domain. Then /username is the login name you use for your email. password obviously= your pw. Server would be how you login to get your email. For example: outlook.csustan.edu or owa.csustan.edu
