It won't update your current player. You will have two different music icons. Headphone for the new one. If you dont like just uninstall.

That's good. I'll give it a try. I also forgot that i could sbf without wipe and revert. That way everything stays intact.

I do not know if this is new or not, as I didn't use the old one, but the new one has transparent controls that work on the lock screen.

hmm, the old one had controls on the lock screen, but the new one does not for me...

I'm going to reboot and see if they show up

Yep, you're right, the new one force closed and the phone reverted back to the old which is why the lockscreen control was there. oh well. I had been using the leaked Moto "connected" music app, that didnt have the lockscreen. Sorry.
