I want to remove the pattern lock on my Droid X. I've gone into Settings, Location & Security. But I can't seem to find how to remove the pattern lock. I'm only given the choice to change the pattern lock.

Any ideas?

Edit: I saw that I had to put in my old pattern and then choose None.

Okay, so I was plagued with this problem for a long time as well. A lot of people didn't understand that I could see "none" as an option but could not select it. I called Verizon tech support and they had no idea. I discovered that I only had this problem after I downloaded the FoxFi app. I tried to delete FoxFi but even after doing so the screen lock was still there. I searched FoxFi forums and found the solution.

1. go to "system settings".
2. go to "security and screen lock"
3. scroll down and select "clear credentials"

As soon as I did that I was able to go back and then choose "none"
Now if I can get rid of the other screen lock from the update I'd be a happy camper!

Piece of cake!!!!
