Error I get when trying to download the GB update

I was hoping someone here can help me with this.

I have a completely stock Droid X - the error I get when trying to download the GB update:

Info

Not enough space on device to store
the incoming file.
-*-*-*-*-*-*

I get to ~ + 90%

I have 6.05 gb free on the device & 9.71 gb free on the SD, I rebooted numerous times - It's my wife's phone & I REALLY don't want to perform a 'factory reset'.

Help ... anyone ... please?

That same thing happened to me. Restart the phone holding the power and home button. When u get to the screen with the little green guy push the search button then scroll sown to clear your cashe. That did it for me.

Wish I could say I was smart enough to figure it out but someone on here helped me out with that.
