gingerbread is here...im asking anyone who gets the update to download and install later and maybe post the zip for us...or those amazing smart people who like to root things. lol

It was posted on XDA, that is how I got the update. It is awesome!

Does the update kill rooting, and if so, after updating, will Gingerbreak still work to root it again? I don't want to lose the ability to use Titanium backup.

any official update will kill root, and gingerbreak has been reported to not work on the moto GB updates (cant speak for the X2, but it didnt work on the X).

however...Rooted Gingerbread Available for DX2
