Default Keyboard question to those who have tried or own a live Droid

I tried a Dummy unit this week in Best Buy. Size was great, liked the form factor. I felt slide was great, and the LAYOUT and SIZE of the keyboard was fine. However, the stiffness of the keys were really tough.

Is this the case with a live one? Or are the keys like a normal standard keyboard nice and easy to type with ease?

If I am comfortable with the size and shape of the keyboard, will I be happy with the keypress?

    Thanks in advance....

I found the same thing. I was a little surprised as the rest of the dummy phone looked and felt like a real device. I am hoping that the keyboard was not as it was terrible. The buttons were hard to use and I can not see tapping out a message quickly on that device.

+1 on dummy unit keyboard being awful

I'd really like to know if the keyboard is better on the real thing too.

I posted the same question on another site. Supposedly it's the dummy unit and not how the real KB is.

I tried a live unit this morning and the keyboard is not stiff. You may need a little practice to get feel of the keys and their spacing but it felt very well made.
