A friend of mine is having an issue with his Droid. Basically, every screen interaction is repeated. For instance, if he opens up an app, it will mimic that "tap" multiple times opening up menus and navigating within that app, even though he only touched the screen once.

Anyone ever have a problem with this, or have a solution?

He's running 2.1 (not rooted as far as I know) & has tried a reboot/battery pull.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Sounds like a strange bug to have... Back your stuff up (contacts etc) unless you're using your google account (it's done automatically, even purchases) and do a factory reset.

Menu>Settings>Privacy>Factory Data Reset

That kept happinging to me recently. A factory reset has seemed to fix the problem.

After a few hours of messing with it and uninstalling programs by using the hard keyboard, it stopped freaking out, but now the left 1/4 of the screen will not take input. This unfortunately includes the back button.

Still have yet to try hard reset, will probably do so before taking it to the Verizon store.
